Future Vision

AC2 recognises the need to enhance cancer care and survivorship outcomes specifically for Chinese-speaking populations across Australia and Greater China. The AC2 collaboration comprises multidisciplinary experts in oncology, healthcare policy, cultural competency, and public health, committed to addressing the unique needs of these communities. The future vision for AC2 is to foster partnerships between healthcare providers, research institutions, and community organisations to enhance care delivery models, improve patient outcomes, and support long-term survivorship.

Leadership Forum

In October 2024 the inaugural AC2 Leadership Forum was held in Hong Kong.

The Forum provided an opportunity to share what has been achieved across Australia and Greater China to date, and to identify the future priorities for practice, training and research in cancer survivorship care for Chinese populations. At this Forum expert discussions were held to facilitate the development of a Roadmap informing the future of cancer survivorship specific to Chinese populations.

The Roadmap to building understanding and improving outcomes for Chinese cancer survivors (the AC2 Roadmap) outlines a comprehensive strategy to enhance the quality of cancer survivorship care for Chinese populations. It identifies both short-term and long-term objectives, as well as key stakeholders necessary to advance research, service delivery, and education in cancer survivorship.
